Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Power Engineer/Industrial Mechanic is an integral member of the maintenance team with direct responsibility for boiler related duties as well as maintaining / monitoring and repairing production equipment.

Operate and maintain the boiler/compressor rooms and refrigeration equipment for the plant
Repair and maintain Production equipment both processing and packaging
Troubleshoot equipment failures and break downs
Scheduled Preventive Maintenance
Other duties as required
Weekend and Evening Shifts required

Must possess a Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate
Preference will be given to individuals who possess a Provincial Certificate as an Industrial Mechanic or instrumentation
Minimum three (3) years experience in a food processing facility would be an asset
Candidates must be strong independent individuals while possessing the ability to function within a highly integrated team environment
Previous production experience is an asset
Experience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipment.
Demonstrated solid multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude
Proven communication and inter-personal skills
Should exhibit initiative, positive attitude, good judgment, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record
